Over the centuries, Italy has been the inspiration to countless poets, artists and composers who journeyed south in order to rejuvenate their output.  With an eye towards art, architecture, and especially music, the study day examines the unique qualities that Rome, Bologna, Venice and Naples were able to offer visiting ‘artists'.
